8 Reasons Creatives are So Successful

We’ve all heard it—creative people aren’t good at business. But just because some people don’t understand us, what we do, or how we do it, doesn’t mean we aren’t successful. We get to define success on our own terms.

Here are 8 reasons Creatives are so successful:

1. We love people! We love everything about them and spend a lot of time observing them. Part of our job is discovering what makes them tick and what they want for themselves.

2. We learn from our setbacks. We turn failures into opportunities. Our brains are always looking for ways to improve our skills and create a better future.

3. We are curious people who love to learn. Never satisfied with mediocrity, we have an insatiable curiosity for new ideas and new skills.

4. We like to have fun! Because we aren’t boring people, we never get bored, and we are always looking for ways to put the fun in what we do.

5. We are open-minded people. Our work is built on relationships and we spend thousands of hours listening, making us experts at holding space for others. We have a deep understanding of the challenges and joys of being human.

6. We are dreamers. Before any masterpiece was created, someone dreamt it first.

7. We take big leaps. You wouldn’t be reading this had you not taken the leap to pursue your dream career, despite all the challenges and hurdles you had to overcome first.

8. We surround ourselves with other creative people. While many creatives are also introverted, we often find inspiration in what other creatives are doing, and we get inspired to take our work to even greater heights.
